TeamCast announces TWISTER II a new Terrestrial Digital TV exciter especially designed for Transmitter Upgrade

Las Vegas (USA), April 7th, 2018 – TeamCast, the global market leader in Digital Terrestrial TV and Radio Modulation, releases the new TWISTER II rack exciter during NAB Show 2018.

TWISTER II comes as a ready-to-use stand-alone DTV rack exciter, specifically designed for straight-forward simple integration inside new and existing DTV transmitters. It comes as a multi-standard platform supporting DVB-T, DVB-T2, ISDB-T/TB and DTMB waveforms. This second generation TWISTER implements an extended number of Ethernet ports (7 ports) in order to meet Broadcaster’s expectation for smooth transition from TS/ASI interfaces to IP. TWISTER II also integrates a specific control port dedicated for N+1 transmitter redundancy implementation.

With TWISTER II, we follow our strategy to maximize the added-value brought by the entire Teamcast DTV exciter product line. In the context of mandated frequency relocation requiring transmission infrastructure improvements, TWISTER II comes as the right solution to refresh, recycle and upgrade existing DTV transmitters at a reduced CAPEX cost resulting in lower OPEX costs.  This is truly a WIN WIN for broadcasters” says Eric Pinson, Head of the Terrestrial Business Unit at TeamCast.

TWISTER II will be demonstrated at NAB show 2018 on TeamCast’s booth in the South Hall Upper SU6521.
