Teamcast

Alcatel-Lucent and SFR presented on January 16 in the city of Pau (South West of France) the results of the real size trial of Mobile TV transmission using the new DVB-SH standard, in coordination with 3G mobile phone services.

Highly successful, these trials which lasted six months, made a clear demonstration of the benefits of DVB-SH vs DVB-H for  the terrestrial segment of the system. Hybrid transmission was also validated, by use of a stationary helicopter for emulating the satellite transmission.

TeamCast was one of the French SMEs active in the DVB-SH ecosystem who contributed to these trials by providing the necessary key technology.

TeamCast also participated in the demonstration made by the US operator ICO during the last CES in Las Vegas.
