DescriptionSyper is the latest generation of DVB-S and DVB-S2 receiver fully compliant to the
standard. The Syper S/S2 demodulator is high performance demodulator-decoder
for advanced DVB satellite reception. Syper S/S2 demodulator supports DVB-S as
well as DVB-S2 in QPSK, 8PSK, 16APSK and 32APSK until 170MBps.
Syper S/S2 demodulator can be used either with LNB satellite blocks or with Lband
receivers. In both cases, the Syper S/S2 receiver can be configured and driven
by the user with the GUI. Syper S/S2 receiver is the first DVB-S2 demodulator
able to provide five Input Stream Identifier (ISI), at the same time, on five ASI output
ports. Thanks to the RF_Out output (copy of RF_In), it’s possible to cascade
two demodulators for increasing the number of outputs ASI. It’s useful if there is
more than 5 ISI in the multi-stream receiving. With a simple GUI, it’s possible to
map any ISI to any ASI output ports.
Performance & Reliability
All the modulations of EN 302 307 are demodulated. In the most robust MODCOD,
the C/N can go below 0dB and the Syper S/S2 receiver will synchronise and demodulate
correctly the input signal with an automatic MODCOD detection.
Full error monitoring facilities are available and signal statistics (C/N, FER, PER) are provided via a simple interface either by Ethernet port or by serial port.
