TeamCast is an active member of several European, National and Regional collaborative research projects, side by side with other key industrial and research players:- Wing TV (validation of the DVB-H standard, closed end of 2006),
- OPUS (development of a test platform for next evolution of UMTS),
- TVMSL (development of an hybrid satellite-terrestrial mobile TV system), led by Alcatel-Lucent,
- B21C (further developments on DVB-H and DVB-SH standards, contributions to the definition of the DVB-T2 standard). TeamCast co-ordinator of the B21C Project had the honour of receivingthe coveted "2009 Celtic Silver Award". The project involved 35 partners from 9 countries.
- SME 42 ("SME for T2"): this project of the program Eurostars is dedicated to SME and works on the optimization of the implementation of the DVB-T2 standard.
TeamCast is a member of the Briton competitiveness cluster "Media & Networks" and is participating in several projects labelled by the cluster. TeamCast is also actively contributing to the standardisation of digital TV systems, through its participation in the technical work groups of the DVB and FLO forums. |
